Position Title: Marketing Coordinator

Firecomms (www.firecomms.com) is a high-tech optoelectronics company with product design, product
verification and sales functions located in Ireland and manufacturing in China; sales are made worldwide.
Firecomms offers a range of optical transceivers, fibre and components for use in industrial, medical and
consumer/utility applications. Our products include both standard transceiver modules as well as
specialized/custom designed solutions developed in close collaboration with our customers. Firecomms’
capability includes the design and manufacture of light emitting devices, mixed-signal analog ICs as well as
the mechanical design of housings and packages.

Firecomms is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join the team in Cork. The successful
candidate will identify and manage projects designed to increase Firecomms market presence, identify and
quantify new market opportunities and collaborate closely with the sales teams to help drive growth.

 

Marketing role job skills & specs requirements:

Manage product launch process:

  • Coordinate tech team and sales teams
  • Photographer coordination
  • Create & manage media publisher contact list

Work with distributors on co-op promotions:

  • Ad development
  • Stocking to support

Collateral materials development coordination:

  • Strong editing skills
  • Writing skills

Maintain e-mail lists for content blasts

  • Constant contact experience a plus

Trade Show coordination:

  • Experience a plus

Website content management:

  • Coordinate with web services company on content
  • Basic web skills / accessing
  • WordPress experience a plus

PowerPoint expertise

Adobe suite experience:

  • Acrobat / InDesign / Photoshop
  • Ability to liaise with 3rd party vendors

Manage the review process

Some on the job experience:

  • 1 to 2 years marketing role experience
  • Technical products marketing experience a plus

Self-managed:

  • Must be able to drive interaction between teams to achieve Marketing goals

Social media content management:

  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter

Work with internal teams on the gathering of market research data with some analysis:

  • Demand: SAM/TAM
  • Competitive analysis
  • Pricing data


Candidate should have the following education, experience and skills:

Education:

  • Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Ideally 2 to 3 years of experience in a technology industry
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • The ideal candidate is an innovator, self-initiated, highly motivated and enjoys hands-on work

 

Reporting:

The Marketing Coordinator will report directly to the Managing Director of Firecomms but will work
collaboratively with the European and North American VP’s of Sales.
