Firecomms ( is a high-tech optoelectronics company with product design, product verification and sales functions located in Ireland and manufacturing in China; sales are made worldwide. Firecomms offers a range of optical transceivers, fibre and components for use in industrial, medical and consumer/utility applications. Our products include both standard transceiver modules as well as specialized/custom designed solutions developed in close collaboration with our customers. Firecomms’ capability includes the design and manufacture of light emitting devices, mixed-signal analog ICs as well as the mechanical design of housings and packages.

Firecomms is looking for an Inside Sales Administrator for a maternity cover to join the team in Cork. The successful candidate will identify and manage projects designed to increase Firecomms customer experience and satisfaction.


Sales Administrator role job skills & specs requirements:

  • Facilitate effective communication with customers, field sales team, distributors, production and applications engineering teams to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer enquiries directly or via local sales channels.
  • Generate quotations and support customer order process.
  • Manage the shipment process, negotiate with carriers, generate paperwork and follow up to ensure successful delivery.
  • Issue invoices, follow up payments and chase when required. Liaise with accounts on credit control issues.


Candidate should have the following experience and skills:


  • Sales and marketing training or experience
  • High level of computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Good sales and negotiation skills
  • Experience in export logistics and shipping preferred
  • Knowledge or experience of electronics industry preferred.



The Sales Administrator will report directly to the Managing Director of Firecomms but will work
collaboratively with the sales, distributors, production and applications engineering teams.
